Deirdre Burnett graduated from Camberwell School of Art & Design in 1967, where she was heavily influenced by visiting lecturers Hans Coper & Lucie Rie. Her work was included in the 2020 exhibition 'Hans Coper, Lucie Rie & Pupils', Oxford Ceramics Gallery, Oxford, and the 1990 exhibition 'Lucie Rie, Hans Coper & their pupils', Sainsbury Centre, & Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge. Burnett's work has been held at the Victoria & Albert Museum, London and the MOMA, New York, as well as in numerous private and prestigious collections worldwide. Deirdre Burnett was a Fellow of the Craft Potters Association and a member of Contemporary Applied Arts.
