Deirdre Burnett

A graduate of Camberwell School of Art & Design in 1967, Deirdre Burnett was deeply influenced by visiting lecturers Hans Coper and Lucie Rie. Known for her refined forms and textures, her work was featured in the 2020 exhibition Hans Coper, Lucie Rie & Pupils at the Oxford Ceramics Gallery, as well as in the 1990 exhibition Lucie Rie, Hans Coper & their pupils at the Sainsbury Centre and Fitzwilliam Museum. Her ceramics are held in prestigious collections, including the Victoria & Albert Museum, London, and the Museum of Modern Art, New York, along with numerous private collections worldwide. A Fellow of the Craft Potters Association and a member of Contemporary Applied Arts, Burnett’s artistic legacy continues to resonate within the ceramic field.
